ABSTRACT –
Pancreatitis is an inflammation of pancreas. It’s the gland located in stomach in upper abdomen. It secretes enzymes that regulates body hormones and helps in digestion. It regulates body sugar levels by secreting insulin.

CAUSES –
- Excessive alcohol consumption and smoking
- Gallstones
- Pancreatic cancer
- Hereditary factors
- High level of calcium and triglycerides in blood
- Injury in abdomen
- Bacterial infections
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS –
- Abdominal pain
- Fever
- Nausea and vomiting
