BHUPENDRA SINGH’S POSITION CHANGED

Bhupendra Singh, India’s drug pricing regulator and the chairman of NPPA since 2016 is one of the reputed 23 IAS officials to be selected by the committee members for a new responsibility and is even expected for succeeding Inder Jit Singh as the chairman of the NACWC. Following Bhupendra Singh’s roles, NPPA has slashed the costs of cardiac stents by over 80% in 2015 for the inclination of devices to save people with cardiac problems. Recently, he has also highlighted about the high margins that few hospitals in the NCR areas were charging from the patients for various consumables and medicines respectively.
