Gastritis is an inflammation to the areas covering the stomach. The situation can be acute or chronic that might lead to bleeding, stomach cancer and ulcers. Helicobacter pylori infection in childhood is the main cause of chronic gastritis, which is of microbial origin and is the main key for the understanding the course of the disease.
