Famotidine
Famotidine is a medication drug that is used to treat ulcers within the stomach and the intestines. Working as a histamine-2 (antagonist) blocker, Famotidine is used as preventive medication for Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) – a condition wherein acid backs up into the tract to cause heartburns. Famotidine works by simply reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach, thus decreasing and preventing the formation of ulcers.
DOSAGE –
- Famotidine is to be taken as directed by the doctors. Consume this drug only as prescribed to avoid overdose or other harmful effects.

PRECAUTIONS –

WARNINGS –
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Contact a doctor immediately in case of heartburn or a heart attack. Symptoms of either (as one can be confused with the other) include severe chest pain, pain in the jaw, arm or shoulder, nausea, sweating or extreme anxiety.
- In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.
