Flagyl is used to treat different kinds of infection in the body. It works by restricting the growth of various bacteria and parasites. It does not treat any type of viral infections like flu and common cold. This medication is also used in combination with other drugs to fight bacterial ulcers in stomach. It helps to treat other bacterial infections of skin, vagina, brain, liver, joints and respiratory tract.

- Flagyl has to be taken as directed by the doctors.
- Adult dosages:
Injection solution: 15 mg/kg infused over one hour
