FLEXIBLE BIOPATCH DELIVERS DRUGS PRECISELY
21 Nov 2019
Silicon health markers in the form of Nano needles help patients to get their drugs in the form of biomolecules correctly into the respective muscle, skin or tissue. Chi Hwan Lee, an assistant professor at Purdue University in the US states that normal straight silicon needles will be causing discomfort if left for longer durations. To solve this issue, Washington scientists have prepared a soft and curved needle, which will physically transfer the molecules inside the patch. Since the curved needle has the added advantage if transparency doctors can observe real-time drug interaction between the cells. The drugs can also be regulated in a controlled manner.
