In New York, researchers are saying that the people who are having slow reading rate are suffering from dry eye syndrome. When natural tears fail to lubricate, the dry eye syndrome affects the eye’s function. This condition slows down a person’s reading rate by about 10 percent. In a study published in the journal, “Optometry and vision science” team has involved 186 adults over 50 years of age. All the participants avoided the use of eye drops before testing for 24 hours. They responded by saying poor vision quality due to environmental factors such as smoke and wind. Dr. Esen Akpek from the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute of US, advised people about who are affected with it, such as poor vision and stinging can be cured by the use of counter eye drops and proper diagnosis.
