Ependymoma is said to occur in the brain regions for children and the spine areas for adults and hence it is a cancer type that affects the CNS (Central Nervous System) of the body. Statistics says Ependymoma occurs in around 1098 people and already 13,294 people are living with this disorder. There are so many grades of Ependymoma based upon the grading systems. The symptoms include weakness in the legs, blurred vision, back pain, a change in bowel function, trouble urinating and confusion or irritability. There is no definite known cause but one can get affected by the disorder of genes, neurofibromatosis type 2. The treatment options chemotherapy, surgery, radiation therapy, alternative-complementary therapy, chemotherapy and drug therapies.
