Bile duct cancer or cholangiocarcinoma is the cancer that begins in the liver’s duct canals and affects the other areas of the liver and stomach as well. The cancer is stated to affect about 5,000 people specific to the regions of America. The cancer of the bile duct can affect areas in three types, namely Intrahepatic, Perihilar, and Distal bile duct cancers. This cancer shows out with symptoms like jaundice, nausea, fever, itching, abdominal pain, etc. The causes may be attributed due to age, lifestyle, DNA mutations, and other hepatic viruses. The treatments include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and even liver transplant for severe clinical trials with compulsory side effects.
