The American Academy of Dermatology has found out that about 3 million people are affected by either form of skin cancer. The uncontrolled growth of cancer cells under skin that is formed from over-exposure to UV rays in sunlight and causing changes and irritation is skin cancer. Types includes melanoma, squamous cell cancer, basal cell carcinoma and actinic keratosis. A person who is fair, age above 40, exposure to radiations and organ transplanted individuals are at higher risk of developing this cancer. Treatment involves radiation therapy, surgery and fluorouracil.
