Nerve, muscle functioning, heart rate pace, etc. are all maintained by the B-complex Vitamin B1 which is also known as Thiamine or Thiamin. Vitamin B1 can be found in dried milk, nuts, oats, oranges, pork, fish, eggs, seeds, legumes, peas, brown rice and yeast. Vitamin B1 deficiency causes Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, wet and dry beriberi, brain heart and liver damage. Thiamine is hence very vital for a human being.
