OsteoarthritisSings is a degenerative disorder which arises from biochemical breakdown of the articular cartilage in the synovial joints. It is a fairly common disease which causes chronic disability in adults. Recently, it is being opined that osteoarthritis includes not only the articular cartilage but the complete joint organ. Symptoms of Osteoarthritis include joint pain, reduced motion range and gelling. Physiotherapy, patient education, weight loss, exercise, heat and cold and occupational therapy are employed to treat patients along with medicines. It represents a group of diseases which results in histopathologic and radiologic changes.It is of two types, primary and secondary. Stresses on joints play an important role in the development of Osteoarthritis.
