The following are some other nervous system diseases that animals are affected by :
Chorea – It is a nervous system disease in which muscles of the animal body is affected with chronic spasms that cause twitching, usually unconsciously. Cerebral Meningitis – When bacteria or some other forms of infection cause the inflammation of the Duramater or the Piamater. Encephalitis – It is caused by intoxication or infection. Encephalitis leads to difficulty in performing functions which require movement as well as some signs of paralysis. Paraplegia – also called Kumri, it is a condition in which the muscles leads to paralysis. This usually affects horses. Most animals are affected due to difficulty in acclimatization.
